For just $550, you’ll spend a full day exploring Sai Kung’s protected coral areas through transparent kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. The junk will whisk you off to the edge of a protected marine reserve on Sharp Island (Kiu Tsui Chau) where motorboats are forbidden.
Sharp Island’s undersea gardens boast the cleanest water in Hong Kong with an exquisite range of fish and marine fauna. Hop into a transparent kayak - that’s right your kayak is transparent! – to get up close and personal with over 300 species of reef fish and 80 species of coral. Look out for giant coral heads and gorgonians, colourful sea urchins plus a plethora of friendly Nemo’s living amongst these vibrant coral communities: everything from butterfly fish and stingrays to moray eels and giant groupers.
